Program and Core Modalities
-
Multi-Modal Delivery
Our model is designed to remain flexible and inclusive, especially in settings
where connectivity is unreliable. While our long-term goal is to offer a full range of digital and low-tech
learning options, current resources allow us to prioritise online learning spaces as the programme’s primary
mode. As funding grows, additional modalities can be phased in. -
Online learning spaces
The program is built around practical, accessible digital tools that learners
already know such as Zoom, Google Meet, andGoogle Classroom. These platforms allow us to create
consistent online learning spaces even in low-resource or crisis settings. While our long-term vision
includes adding more low-tech and offline options, our current focus is on strengthening this online-first
model. -
Offline/self-study kits
As resources grow, the program can integrate radio segments, SMS check-ins,
printable guides, or offline study kits for learners who struggle with even minimal connectivity.
Mentorship, Psychosocial Support & Safeguarding
Mandatory training for all mentors in safeguarding, trauma-awareness, digital safety, and inclusive pedagogy.
Establishing confidential reporting and referral pathways using encrypted forms, secure email, pseudonymised user IDs, and anonymised logs. Existing mechanism is through safeguardteam.voicesofbahar@gmail.com
We are trying to build partnerships with local/regional protection and psychosocial actors (NGOs, UN agencies) for referral support where feasible.
Periodic mentor supervision and wellbeing support to prevent burnout.
Integration of wellbeing check-ins, reflective sessions, and optional peer-support groups for learners.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Identity Exposure
Participant IDs, limited publicity, strict data controls. Conservative outreach; no public listing of participant locations.
Digital security
Encrypted comms; secure hosting; regular security reviews. Prior to the launch of each class, a digital security session is hold.
